Lim Jung-Yun, Exercise 3.2, Tuesday 34

While spending some alone time with myself in a nearby café, a young girl captures my eye. She looks young enough to be in high school but her poorly applied makeup and slightly flamboyant outfit suggests that she is a college freshman. Even so, her clumsy attempts to dress up do not cover up her youthfulness that seems to radiate from her entire body.

Judging by the books and notebooks strewn across her table, she is preparing for a test. Every few minutes she takes a break from studying and checks her phone then returns to studying with a dark look on her face. The frustration on her face is so blatant to the point of hilarity. After a while, she packs her bag with a resigned look on her face and browses her phone with a lighter ease. She evens chuckles to herself with great amusement.

A bit later, she leaves her table, not to leave, but to order some more food for herself. She comes back with a drink steaming from the rim and a tasty looking sandwich. She attacks the sandwich with such eagerness it makes me want to grab a bite as well. She wolfs the entire sandwich and washes it down with her drink. She then pulls out a mirror from her purse to fix her makeup and walks out of the café with a satisfied expression on her face. Something about her reminds me of myself a few years ago (which is why I looked at her in the first place) and makes me smile.
